To mark the 80th Anniversary of the Second World War we have added an 'On this day' feature which covers both Regimental history and that of the War, 1939 and 1940 have now been completed.
Some of the museum's archives which are lists and rolls of soldiers of the regiment have been added.
Digitisation of the Regimental Journal, The Lion and the Rose is underway and volumes are being added.

We have expanded the 1914 news section with more accounts of life in Lancaster District in 1914. A whole series of articles, accounts and letters also tell the soldiers' story of the life and actions of the 1st Battalion in 1914.

The museum's opening hours will change from the 1st February 2015.
From Sunday 1st February 2015 Lancaster City Museum and the King's Own Royal Regiment Museum will open on Sundays from 10am to 5pm, but close on Mondays. The opening times will be Tuesday to Sunday 10am to 5pm.
