Soldiers of the RegimentPrivate
Henry John Pidgeon
Private Henry John Pidgeon, number 25661, who had enlisted on 11th
November 1915 into the Devonshire Regiment appears to have also served
in the Machine Gun Regiment before joining the King's Own Royal
Lancaster Regiment. Evidence would suggest he served with the 9th
Battalion in Salonika, retuned to England and spent time with the 3rd
Battalion at Dovercourt, and was with the 1st/4th Battalion of the
King's Own in early 1919 when he was with the army of occupation in
Belgium. He was discharged on 2nd April 1919 from the King’s Own
Royal Lancaster Regiment.
