‘A dear friend Captain Quintin Bone, adjutant, 9th King’s Own Royal Lancaster Regiment, killed in action on 19th  September 1918, within seven days of the Armistice in Salonika.
Temporary Captain and Adjutant Quintin Bone. Commissioned on the 5th January 1915 into the 9th Battalion, Bone served throughout the war with the battalion, until he was killed in action on 19th September 1918 in the final push of the campaign in Macedonia.
