Lance Corporal Frederick Weaver

 
Sports Medal, 2nd Battalion, King’s Own Royal Regiment, Platoon Hockey Medal awarded to Lance Corporal Frederick Weaver, number 3433187.
Accession Number: KO2964/01

Frederick Weaver attested on 27th October 1920 at the age of 19 years and 165 days in Ashton under Lyne, enlisting in to the Lancashire Fusiliers. His father is shown as next of kin as F F Weaver, Middleton Junction, Chadderton, Oldham. He was discharged on 26th October 1932 with the rank of Corporal. Re-enlisting into the 6th (TA) Battalion of the Lancashire Fusiliers on 11th April 1935.
