Troopships  - HMT Somersetshire


HMT Somersetshire, possibly in the 1930s.  No further information exists about this ship other than she was launched in 1921 having been built for the Bibby Line.  See also HMT Dorsetshire.

Postcard featuring the troopship ‘HMT Somersetshire’ and the words ‘Cheerio Till We Meet Again’. Written in ink on the rear “Dear Dad, best of luck, your son, Pat. “This is our Troopship, and we sail tomorrow at five pm.”
