In-Pensioner/Private Thomas Chester


Grave of In Pensioner/Private Thomas Chester, Brookwood Military Cemetery.
Died on 10th January 1966 aged 63 years at the Infirmary, Royal Hospital, Chelsea. He was admitted to the Royal Hospital as an In-Pensioner in November 1965.
Private Thomas Chester, number 3708286, enlisted under the alias of 'James Brown' and served in the King’s Own Royal Regiment from 10th November 1926 to 1935 and again from 1937 to April 1948.  Prior to this he served in the Royal Army Medical Corps from 1919 to 1923 having therefore served for a period of over 22 years. He received the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal in 1948.
