There are a number of examples in the museum's collection and include the following:

Private William Patrick Brown, number 9876, 2nd Battalion, King's Own Royal Lancaster Regiment.  Enlisted at Woolwich, 5 October 1908, discharged 29th March 1919 after serving ten years and 217 days with the Colours.  'Marks and scars' include a 'Robinson Crusoe' tattoo on the back of his left forearm and a bird on his right forearm.  KO2873/36

Private Thomas Byrne, number 3705683 from the East Lancashire Regiment, 8th March 1927.  Enlisted 9th March 1923.  KO2539/02

Private Charles Eyres, number 17552, 3rd Battalion, King’s Own Royal Lancaster Regiment.  Enlisted on 6 February 1915 and discharged 16 May 1916, no longer physically fit for war service.  KO1939/05

Sergeant Harry Hamer, number 5844, 1st and 7th Battalion, King's Own Royal Lancaster Regiment.  Enlisted on 22 Nov 1898 and discharged 19 Sep 1919.  KO3046/09

Private Albert Ernest Johnson, number 9657, 2nd and 6th King's Own.  Enlisted 19 March 1908 and discharged 23 August 1916.  KO2843/06

Company Sergeant Major Stanley Pollitt, number 4844, King’s Own Royal Lancaster Regiment.  Enlisted on 26 July 1895 and discharged ‘no longer physically fit for War Service’, 4 July 1916.  KO1452/16
