Soldiers of the Regiment

Sergeant Harold Hamer

Sergeant Harold Hamer, number 5844, is shown as being with the 1st Battalion, King’s Own Royal Lancaster Regiment in September 1906 and again with the 1st Battalion of the King’s Own in April 1911, when he passed his Sanitation and First Aid qualifications.  He went overseas to France on 20th September 1914, and served with 1st and 7th Battalions during the war. He is shown on the British War and Allied Victory Medal roll as transferred to 43rd Training Reserve Battalion as number 16402
