King’s Own Officer identified on rear in pencil as Lieutenant Jones.
Wearing a 1914/15 Star ribbon and collar dogs which are facing the wrong
way.
There are around 13 officers called ‘Jones’ who served with the King’s
Own in the First World War. Whilst a couple of these can be ruled out
straight away, there is no clear match and the 1914 or 1914/15 Star
ribbon does not assist. The Star may well have been awarded prior to
commissioning.
