Headwear - Service Dress Caps, King's Own Royal Regiment


Service Dress Cap, King's Own Royal Regiment, worn by Lieutenant Colonel Andrew Royle, who commanded the 5th Battalion. King's Own Royal Regiment in the late 1950s and early 1960s.  The hat was made by Herbert Johnson of New Bond Street, London.

Service Dress Cap, King's Own Royal Regiment, worn by 2nd Lieutenant Rodney Howard Birtwistle, who was commissioned into 4/5 King's Own Royal Regiment on 22nd October 1962.  The regimental officer lists compiled by Colonel G T E Keith record him as the last officer commissioned in the King's Own Royal Regiment.
