King's Own Royal Regiment in the late 1950s and early 1960s. The hat was made by Herbert Johnson of New Bond Street, London. Accession Number: KO1034/01 Service Dress Cap, King's Own Royal Regiment, worn by 2nd Lieutenant Rodney Howard Birtwistle, who was commissioned into 4/5 King's Own Royal Regiment on 22nd October 1962. The regimental officer lists compiled by Colonel G T E Keith record him as the last officer commissioned in the King's Own Royal Regiment.
