Camp Bed
Accession Number: KO1729/02

Camp Bed -wooden frame - belonging to 2nd Lieutenant Edgar Alexander Ingmire. First World War. 2nd Lieutenant Ingmire was commissioned in May 1917 and he joined the 1st Battalion on the Western Front. He was wounded on 12 Jun 1917 with the 1st Battalion. He was with the Ministry of Labour between May and Dec 1918.

Camp Bed - metal frame - circa Second World War - owned by Major G D Thompson (ex 5 KO Medical Officer)
George Desmond Thompson joined 5 KO as a Lieutenant on 6th Jun 1934 from Liverpool College OTC. Captain Nov 1937. Transferred to RAMC as Major 23 Apr 1939. Medical Officer of 5 KO in France. Left 5 KO 1941. Later Temporary Lieutenant Colonel RAMC 10 Feb 1943 and retired Hon Lieutenant Colonel RAMC Aug 1946.

Possibly made in their Lancaster or Liverpool workshops. It is also known that they also made washstands - comprising canvas wash bowl and wooden support work.
