Soldiers of the Regiment

Corporal John Kennaugh Titterington

Born in Barrow in Furness, enlisted at Ulverston. Overseas 25 May 1915. Shown as having served with both the 2nd and 6th Battalions of the King’s Own Royal Lancaster Regiment. Believed to have been wounded with the 6th Battalion in Mesopotamia (Iraq).  Buried in Lucknow Cantonment Military Cemetery, and commemorated on the Madras 1914-1918 War Memorial, India.
Son of William and Ann Titterington of 34 Cross Street, Barrow in Furness.

 


Memorial Plaque, to Corporal John Kenneth [Kennaugh] Titterington, number 13192, of the 6th Battalion, King’s Own Royal Lancaster Regiment. Died 16 Aug 1916.
Mounted in circular wooden frame, with some damage to frame.
