Major Stanley Michael Blezard

Stanley Blezard, number 3708499, who enlisted on 16 May 1927 and discharged to commission, with the Lancashire Fusiliers, on 16th February 1940.  He later received a Short Service Commission with the King's Own Royal Regiment and served with the 1st Battalion in Trieste from 1949.  Whilst in Egypt with the King's Own, he won the Egyptian Command Individual Shooting Championship.  He died on 12th December 1976 at Beaumont Hospital, Lancaster, at the age of 67 years.
