Lance Corporal Walter Batty

Lance Corporal Walter Batty, number 17356, 1st Battalion, King’s Own Royal Lancaster Regiment.
Enlisted on 17th January 1915, overseas 29th July 1915 to join the 1st Battalion. Conflicting dates regarding his discharge with the Silver War Badge roll showing 16th March 1917, but the 1914/15 Star Roll and the Discharge Certificate showing 26th September 1917.
