Collections - Sports Medals Football Medal to Private Atherton Sports Medal, Football, King’s Own Royal Regiment, Chancellor Cup, 1930-31, to Private Atherton Stated to have been won by the King’s Own after a match between the King’s Own and Royal Horse Artillery. The Chancellor Cup appears to have been awarded to troops in Palestine. Possibly Private George Albert Atherton, number 3708337, of the 1st Battalion, King’s Own Royal Regiment. Enlisted 1927.
