Soldiers of the Regiment

Private Adam Bailey

Private Adam Bailey, number 1999, G Company, 5th Battalion, King’s Own Royal Lancaster Regiment. 

Private Adam Bailey must have gone overseas to the Western Front with the rest of the 1st/5th Battalion of the King's Own Royal Lancaster Regiment on the 14th February 1915.  He is reported as wounded on 30th March 1915.  He does not appear in the King's Own medal rolls, so must have transferred to another unit later in the war.

Circa autumn 1914 when guarding the Great Western Railway.
