Private James Coltsman, number 1557/200058 of the 1st/4th Battalion, King’s Own Royal Lancaster Regiment, First World War.
Born Dalton in Furness. Lived at 61 Harrison Street, Barrow in Furness. Occupation: Painter. Next of kin, his mother at 70 Harrison Street, Barrow in Furness. Enlisted 6 May 1912 at the age of 17 years and 10 months. Embodied 5 Aug 1914. BEF 3 May 1915 to 17 Aug 1916. 22 Dec 1916 to 26 Sep 1917. Home 27 Sep 1917. Shown as wounded. Disembodied.
