Lieutenant Austin Bradford Woodgate

Born 12th September 1884. From Officer Training Corps
Captain 3rd Battalion, 15th September 1914. Attached Lancashire Fusiliers Nov-Dec 1914. Wounded with 1st Battalion, King's Own, 17th January 1915. Distinguished himself in enemy’s attack on Mousetrap Farm 24th May 1915.
Promoted to Regular Commission Captain East Lancashire Regiment 2nd October 1915. DSO. MC.
Temporary Major Machine Gun Corps 16th February 1918 to 14th March 1920. Acting Major 12th August 1920 to 14th July 1921.
Quartermaster Royal Tank Regiment, Reserve of Officers 1st May 1939. Major 24th August 1939. Out of Army List April 1945. (Captain Machine Gun Corps 18th December 1915. Tank Corps 1st April 1921).
