*Mary Howarth was the widow of Private Fred Howarth. Her maiden name was
Disley. Sadly there is no Charlie Disley recorded in the King’s Own
medal rolls. Although it would have been possible for him to have only
served overseas with another regiment, and possibly there is no mention
of the King’s Own in any of the medal rolls.
