Soldiers of the Regiment

Private Samuel Barritt

Private Samuel Barritt, number 3713957, of the 2nd Battalion, King's Own Royal Regiment was killed in action on 23rd June 1941 in Syria.  He is buried in Damascus Commonwealth War Cemetery, Syria

 


Private S Barritt
Messrs J W Barritt Ltd, Grove Mill. He was associated with Trinity Baptist Church.
Mr and Mrs A A Barritt of 1a Lancaster Street, Morecambe and formerly of 14 Waterside Road, received an intimation that their son, Private S Barritt, had been killed in action. He was a native of Colne, and formerly attended West Street Council School.
Private Samuel Barritt, number 3713957, 2nd Battalion, King’s Own Royal Regiment, was killed in action in Syria on 23 June 1941. His home address was 1a Nelson Street, Lancaster, a native of Colne, he was born in Burnley.
