Private Frank Robson, 1st/4th Battalion, King's Own Royal Lancaster Regiment

British Armies in France - Army Rifle Association - For Skill with a Rifle awarded to Private F Robson, number 200695, 1st/4th Battalion, King's Own Royal Lancaster Regiment, 55th Division.

Private Frank Robson is recorded in the museum's records as enlisting at Barrow in Furness on 16th November 1914 when he was living at 15 Hindpool Road in Barrow.  He was twenty years and 5 months old and his next of kin is shown as his sister, Miss M Robson of, 9 Green Lane Terrace, Tranmere, Birkenhead.  He served overseas between 3rd May 1915 and 17th June 1915, and then from 14th July 1916 and 20th August 1916.  He was overseas again from 22nd April 1917 and is recorded as serving with Number 7 Platoon of B Company, of the 1st/4th Battalion in January 1918.
