Pencil Sketch for design for Side Drum


Original Pencil sketch/design for Side Drum, circa 1910, mounted on board.
Featuring ‘The King’s Own Regt.’ George V Cypher and Regimental Lion above ‘IV’. Battle honours: range from Namur, 1695 to Relief of Ladysmith and South Africa 1899-1902
Purchased framed, with the name of ‘Herbert W Grant, 1877-1951’ in separate mount. Grant worked for the Aldershot based drum making firm of Henry Potters.
