The King’s Message to the Royal Air Force - certificate issued 11th
November 1918 by King George to Captain John William Sandham of the
Royal Flying Corps formerly of the 4th Battalion King’s Own Royal
Lancaster Regiment and later to rejoin the King's Own after war and
served with 4th Battalion, King’s Own Royal Regiment.

John Sandham is stood on the very end (right) of the third row from the
front, with the line of medal ribbons.
Other information indicates he trained and worked as a dentist and later
became a Lancaster magistrate, the photo is probably him as a Special
Constable during the Second World War?
