Lieutenant Jonas Fawson, 4th Foot, the King’s Own.


Lieutenant Jonas Fawson, 4th Foot, the King’s Own.  Watercolour miniature.
Commissioned as an Ensign in the King’s Own on 27th February 1805 and promoted Lieutenant shortly afterwards.  He was killed in action at San Sebastian on 31st August 1813, one of five officers and 117 men killed during the storming of the French-held fortress.
