Private William Thomas Betteridge

bulletLetter dated 23 Dec 1919 from Miss A M Jackson to Mrs Betteridge, regarding he brother who had recently been in the Citadel at Lille, which had been used to house English Prisoners of War by the Germans, and the names of prisoners who had been taken on 18 Apr 1918 appeared amongst them was the name and address of Private J W Betteridge, Number 27855, of the 1st King’s Own. “My mother hopes that he is safe and sound and that he has communicated with you, but in case you have had no news of him, you will perhaps be glad of even this small scrap of information.
