Wedding of Captain Isaac Cross Pedley
to Kathleen Creedon, Christmas 1938 at Weatherall in Cumbria.
Captain Pedley served with the 4th Battalion, King's Own, and
transferred to the 56th Anti-Tank Regiment Royal Artillery The King's
Own, in 1938. He was commissioned as 2nd Lieutenant in December
1927, and during his service in the Second World War was taken prisoner
of war and was held on the island of Formosa, now Taiwan. He was
demobilised in July 1946. Kathleen Creedon was the daughter of
Captain Thomas George Creedon, who was Quarter Master of the 1st
Battalion, King's Own, in June 1919 and from March 1920 to December 1929
the Quarter Master of the Regimental Depot at Bowerham Barracks,
Lancaster.
