Soldiers of the Regiment

Private William Kevin Moore

Private William Kevin Moore, number 3710509, served with both the 5th Battalion, King's Own Royal Regiment in the 1930s and Royal Army Medical Corps in the Second World War.  His date of enlistment is not known, but he was discharged from the 5th Battalion on 14th May 1937 and he re-enlisted into the Royal Army Medical Corps on 5th March 1940 when he received the new number 7373783, although the rules stated that his original army number should have been used.
