father, Private Hughie Jones, circa 1938-43. The medals of Private
Hughie Jones, number 42833 and later 3706178, are also in the museum's

3706173, of the 1st Battalion King’s Own Royal Regiment.
Served 21 Feb 1923 to 21 Mar 1944 with the King’s Own. Previous service
with the General Service Corps, Welsh Regiment, King’s Own and
Lancashire Fusiliers between 14 Jun 1917 and 16 Nov 1919.
