Mrs Owtram's Letters from soldiers and their relatives, First World War.

Letter to Mrs Owtram from M A Wilkinson concerning the death of her son.

No 2 Back Marton Street, Lancaster, 16 Sep 1916
Dear Madam
Thank you very much for you kind letter of sympathy which I received this afternoon on the death of my dear son. He was indeed a good lad always willing to do what he could he went out again for the third time and had only been out a month. I am sure I can scarcely realize it. He was always so bright and cheerful he was the life of the Home.
I do hope and pray that jour son may be spared to come back safe to you. If I could only get to know if he said anything before he died I should feel more reconciled but we can only trust to God and leave all in his hands.
Thank you once more for your kind letter.
I remain, Yours very Truly
M A Wilkinson
