Soldiers of the Regiment

Private Harold Airey


Private Harold Airey, number 1383 & 240157, 1st/5th Battalion, King’s Own.
A pre-war territorial soldier Harold was mobilised on 4th August 1914 and arrived in France with the rest of the battalion on 14th February 1915. He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant during the war and was disembodied from military service on 1st April 1919.
