Private Albert Hugh Jones, number 241938, 1st/5th Battalion, King's Own Royal Lancaster Regiment, and later transferred to the Labour Corps as number 620891.  The photograph is by 'Herbert' of Lancaster, and the soldier is wearing the divisional patch of the 55th West Lancashire Division at the top of his arm.
