Soldiers of the Regiment Lance Sergeant George William Stuart Muchall Number 6667 Lance Sergeant George William Stuart Muchall served with the 2nd Battalion King’s Own Royal Lancaster Regiment and returned with them from India in late 1914 and was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant in January 1915. He went overseas to France on 11th March 1915 and was killed in action on 8th May 1915 at the Battle of Frezenberg. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Belgium
