Private Charles Mashiter

Private Charles Mashiter, number 2059, was one of the 'Lancaster Pals' of the 1st/5th Battalion.  He is shown as having been with 'C' Company when he was wounded on 10th May 1915, but was able to return to duty shortly afterwards.  It would appear he later transferred to the 7th Battalion and then to the Army Service Corps.
