Memorial to King Edward VII, Frere Hall, Karachi, India.


In the gardens of the Frere Hall, Karachi, India, now Pakistan, stands a memorial to King Edward VII.  The memorial was unveiled in 1916 by the Viceroy of India.  At the foot of the memorial are two life size bronze statues, one of a British soldier in Review Order, and the other of an Indian Sepoy.  The British soldier is wearing the Dress and Badges of the King's Own Royal Lancaster Regiment as worn in full dress prior to 1914.
