Born 20 Dec 1873. 2nd Lieutenant 4 Sep 1901 from Paget’s Horse, with whom he served in the South African War 1900-01. Lieutenant 1906. Captain 1914. Wounded at Ypres 20 Feb 1915. Major 4 Sep 1916. GSO 3 59th Division, Home, 1 Oct 1915. Acting Lieutenant Colonel 7 Mar 1917. Temporary Lieutenant Colonel 51st Battalion, Leicestershire Regiment 1 Jan 1918. Commanding P T and BT School, Aldershot 29 Jan1919 to 31 Mar 1922. Retired 20 Dec 1923 with rank of Lieutenant Colonel. On Reserve till 20 Dec 1928. DSO.
