Lieutenant Robert Alfred Cuthbert Radcliffe

Born 12th March 1898. From Royal Military College. Commissioned as 2nd Lieutenant 7th April 1916. 3rd King’s Own May 1916 (Army List), 6th King’s Own, July 1917 (Army List). Lieutenant 7th October 1917 (April 1918 Army List), Captain 2nd Battalion, King’s Own, 12th September 1925. Adjutant 2nd King’s Own from 12 September 1922 to 12th September 1925. Regimental Depot 1927 to 1930. Acting Major, Staff Officer, South Rhodesia 24th January 1930. Retired 23rd January 1932. Captain, Reserve of Officers dated 14th May 1925.
Embodied 24th August 1939.
Welfare Officer at Regimental Depot until February 1941. Employed War Office February 1941. Temporary Major 27th September 1941 to 16th June 1945. Deputy Assistant Adjutant General, War Office, 10th April 1944. Brevet Major 13th November 1940. Demobilised Honorary Lieutenant Colonel August 1945. Seconded to Ministry of Labour, 1946. Died 26th October 1955.
