Brigadier General Godfrey Leicester Hibbert

Born 31 Jan 1864. Lieutenant Northamptonshire Regiment 6 Feb 1884. Lieutenant The King’s Own 27 Feb 1884. Captain 19 Aug 1891. Major 27 Feb 1900. Adjutant 4th Battalion 27 Mar 1900 to 11 Jul 1901.
Served in South African Campaign 1900-02. DSO 1901. Lieutenant Colonel 1908. Commanding 2nd King’s Own 13 Dec 1908 to 12 Dec 1912. To Half Pay on completion of Command, 13 Dec 1912. Colonel 6 Feb 1912
Brigadier Commanding North Lancashire Infantry Brigade Territorial Force 17 Feb 1913. Commanding Brigade in France 1915. Wounded 1915. Commanding Brigade in Salonika, 1917-1918. CB CMG. Died at Lancaster 28 Mar 1924. Buried in Caton Cemetery.
