Soldiers of the Regiment

Captain Francis Edward Pim

Francis Edward Pim was commissioned into the 9th Battalion of the King's Own Royal Lancaster Regiment on 15th December 1914 as a Second Lieutenant from the 9th Battalion of the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment.
He was promoted Lieutenant on 1st July 1917 and was Acting Captain between 12th March 1918 and 30th January 1918 and between 13th March 1919 and 13th June 1919.  He was adjutant of the 2nd Battalion between 13th March 1919 and 13th June 1919 whilst the battalion was in Turkey after relocating from Salonika.
He relinquished his commission and was granted the rank of Captain on 4th July 1919.
