Soldiers of the Regiment

Lieutenant Lionel Streatfield Woodgate

Lionel Streatfield Woodgate was commissioned into the King's Own Royal Lancaster Regiment as a Second Lieutenant on 8th February 1908.  He was promoted Lieutenant on 7th October 1911.  He was killed in action at the Battle of the Marne on 8th September 1914 whilst serving with the 1st Battalion, King's Own Royal Lancaster Regiment.
