Soldiers of the Regiment

Lieutenant Thomas Warner Quartley

Commissioned as 2nd Lieutenant into the 3rd (Special Reserve) Battalion, King's Own Royal Lancaster Regiment on 15th August 1914.  Attached to the 2nd Battalion, South Lancashire Regiment from December 1914.  Killed in action whilst attached to the South Lancashire Regiment on 14th January 1915.

He is buried in Wulverghem-Lindenhoer Road Military Cemetery.  Only son of Dr S W Quartley of 5 Brunswick Place, Regent's Park, London, and the late Lilian Quartley.  He matriculated at London University in 1914.
