The main gate to the Red Cross Hospital at Englefield Green, near Egham.  Private Arthur Hammond of the 4th Battalion King's Own Royal Lancaster Regiment was a patient at this hospital in around 1917-1918.

This appears to be a group of wounded soldiers leaving the hospital at Englefield Green, possibly at Egham railway station.  The advertising board indicates the 'Great Northern Railway' and the overhead sign indicates 'Over the footbridge for trains to Reading'
