Territorial Force 1908-1914

Accession Number: KO0104/38

5th King’s Own at Denbigh Station, Aug 1913.
Whilst this photograph is marked ‘Hornby 1910’ and ‘Hornby Station’ on the rear it is unlikely to be Hornby. The postmark appears to be 5 Aug 1913 and ‘Denbigh’. It is sent from Joe Mashiter to Mr C Mashiter, Tarnwater, Tunstall, Kirkby Lonsdale, with the message: “This is a nice place to camp we are having fine weather” surely if it was Hornby the people in Tunstall would be aware of the weather!
Published by Scott & Co, Press and Military Photographer, 7 Thistle Street, Kirkcaldy.
