Militia Battalions in South Africa


Four officers of the 3rd Militia Battalion, King’s Own Royal Lancaster Regiment, at Lichfield, 1900 prior to going out to the South African War.  The 2nd Battalion was based in Lichfield at the time they departed for South Africa in 1899.
