Forli War Cemetery, Italy, Second World War

 


Grave of Private Jack Stapleton, number 4540873, of the 1st Battalion King’s Own Royal Regiment, killed in action on 16th December 1944, age 25. Son of Matthew and Lily Stapleton of Addingham, Yorkshire.  Buried in Forli War Cemetery, Italy.  His twin brother, 4540874 Private George Stapleton, number 4540874, also served with the 8th and 1st Battalions of the King's Own.
