Died in the Citadel Military Hospital, Cairo, Egypt, 24 Jun 1934, age 24 years. Although it is unlikely it is this soldier, as other photos of the funeral exist and they do not appear to match up – ko2802-03 & ko1972/36-39 Private Charles Robert Henry Harvey, number 3708761, S Company, 1st Battalion, King’s Own, died at Citadel Military Hospital, Cairo, 6 Jul 1934 Private David Rutherford, number 3709331, C Company, 1st Battalion, King’s Own, died at Abbassia, Egypt, 12 Jul 1934.
