The Mayor of Lancaster, M J Hodkinson, "congratulating a soldiers wife after inspecting her home at the married quarters", Depot, Bowerham Barracks, Lancaster, January 1931.  Mrs Nixon was the wife of Sergeant Nixon.

The Kitchen at Bowerham Barracks, Lancaster.  The Mayor of Lancaster, M J Hodkinson, with Sergeant Nixon, Major General W H Beach, Commanding 42 East Lancashire Division.  The Mayor's visit was part of a regimental recruiting drive.  23rd January 1931.
