Colonels of the King's Own Royal Regiment

Colonel The Hon Robert Brudenell

3rd Son of George, Earl of Cardigan. For many years Member of Parliament for Marlborough. Groom of the Bedchamber to HRH the Duke of York, whose train he bore at the Coronation of George III. Captain and Lieutenant Colonel 3rd Foot Guards, 1758. Colonel of the 16th Foot in 1763. Colonel of the King’s Own 23 January 1765. Died at Windsor, 1768.
