Private Samuel Cooper

Private Samuel Cooper served with the 1st Volunteer Battalion of the King's Own Royal Lancaster Regiment and served with the 1st Active Service Company in the South African War 1899-1902.

Private Cooper sent back a biscuit from the Boer War.

Private Cooper also wrote a diary which forms an account of the 1st Active Service Company of the Volunteer Battalions in the South African War.
